Some more trivia: * John Lithgow was Stephen Hopkins' first choice for Peter Keyes but Joel Silver pushed for Gary Busey instead. The subway attack scene was directly adapted from the first Predator comic book series. The producers thought it was cool and they wanted to use it in the film. * it was the first film Gary Busey made after his nearly fatal motorcycle accident. * Elpidia Carrillo and Kevin Peter Hall are the only actress and actor from the first Predator film to make an appearance in this film. * John McTiernan was offered the chance to direct Predator 2 but turned it down to work on The Hunt for Red October instead. * The City Hunter seems to be slightly taller than the Predator in the first film. In the film's commentary, it is stated that he stands 8 ft tall. * In the novel The Elder Predator is called Greyback. * Danny Glover and Gary Busey previously worked together in the first Lethal Weapon film, alongside with Steve Kahan. * As in the first Predator movie, the final scene in Predator 2 is also a helicopter flying away from the camera. * Predator 2 is set a decade after the events of the first film. Predator is set in 1987 (the year the film came out) whilst Predator 2 is set in 1997 (but the film itself came out back in 1990). It is set seven years prior to Alien Vs. Predator (set in 2004, the year that it also came out) and Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem (set in 2007, the year that it also came out).

Some trivia: * The reason why Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t in Predator 2 was because he didn't like the new director (Stephen Hopkins directed that film whilst John McTiernan directed the first Predator film) as well as the new script. The plot of the film underwent a few changes in its earliest stages. Gary Busey's character Keyes was actually intended to be Dutch, Arnie’s character from the first Predator film. Arnie was very outspoken against the sequel's concept, feeling that taking it into the city was a bad idea so he declined the role. * The Jamaican voodoo posse gangs in this film were based on actual gangs that were terrorising New York City and Kansas City back in the mid to late 1980s. * According to Stephen Hopkins, the film was re-cut over twenty times because of more graphic shots of mutilated bodies and decapitations by the Predator. * The spear weapon that was used in the film disappeared and was reported stolen after filming was completed. * The Predator's sounds consist of pre-recorded animal sounds from cats, tigers, lions, bears etc. * Kevin Peter Hall (who portrayed as Predator in the first two films) had studied African tribal dances, in order to get into the feel and flexibility of the Predator and to give him a personality. * John McTiernan's fee after the Die Hard film was $2 million. That's why he declined to direct Predator 2 because the executives wanted to keep the budget the same as on the first film. * This was the first film to be given the newly instituted NC-17 rating in America for the graphic violence prior to getting it re-cut to its final theatrical length.
