Some trivia: * The film did so poorly that it was pulled from theaters one week after its opening weekend. The film grossed over sixty thousand dollars. * Quentin Tarantino, a good friend of Julia Sweeney (who portrays as the eponymous character), worked on the script uncredited. * Two cameos that ended up on the cutting-room floor: Harvey Keitel as a priest and Jonathan Richman as Pat's father. * The film is based on a recurring sketch on Saturday Night Live. Charles Rocket was a castmember on SNL during it's infamous 1980-81 season. * According to an interview with Michael De Luca and The Farrell Brothers (Bobby and Peter Farrelly) worked on the script uncredited. * In the recurring It's Pat sketches on SNL, Dana Carvey portrayed Pat's equally androgynous partner, Chris. Dana was asked to reprise the role in this movie adaptation, but turned it down. Dave Foley was cast instead. * Kathy Griffin and Julia Sweeney also appeared in Pulp Fiction (which was released in 1994, the same year as It’s Pat), which came out in theaters seven weeks later. Some critics have noted that Griffin and Sweeney acted in one of the best movies of 1994, and one of the worst movies of 1994.
