This grainy sex tape surfaced early in 2012. Hulk Hogan sued Gawker for $100 million for defamation, loss of privacy and emotional pain due to the release of the tape. He won and lawsuit and on the 18th of March 2016, he was awarded $115 million. On 10th of June 2016, Gawker announced its bankruptcy filing as a direct result of the monetary judgment against the company.
