This film about the planet Porno and Flesh's attempt to save the world from a sex ray and the evil Emperor Wang. Be prepared for molesting robots, penis monsters and surprisingly reasonable effects for the day...
This film is technically close to the original serial (which is lovingly imitated, including the purposely annoying wall to wall canned music and an intermission at a strategically chosen moment) and almost as fun as the 1980 version (which is almost as sex-soaked, BTW). Like other sex comedies of the ‘70s, it displays a lot of imagination to create costumes, special effects, sets... which almost look like from a big production (Jim Danforth himself reluctantly collaborated). The more it goes, the more it is funny. And there is stop motion animation like in Ray Harryhausen films. The direction is sometimes inept, sometimes deliriously sophisticated, with deep focus effects and such; those people knew what they were doing and they relish on it.
This is a parody (since it is a parody of Flash Gordon, especially hence the film title), a sex comedy, a sexploitation, a space opera and a erotica film.

Perhaps the penis-like creatures that popped out of the ground during one scene in this film will frighten some people.
There’s a lot of sexual dialogue in this film, including the frequent use of "porno" (a planet's name), guards being called "Dildo" and a character named "Jerk Off".
