Grown from the seed of character actor Paul Sorvino, Mira Sorvino came to acting after earning a degree in East Asian studies from Harvard. So maybe she can tell us if it's true what they say about Asian women. She made a splash as the call-girl-with-a-statue-of-gold in her Academy Award-winning performance for Woody Allen in Mighty Aphrodite (1995). However provocative the role (and dirty minded her director), there was not a hint of skin to be found on the reels. Mira has remained as chaste as the girl next door, but she did get cheeky in one scene and topless in another as Marilyn Monroe for the made-for-HBO movie Norma Jean and Marilyn (1996). She paired off with Ashley Judd, as the before-she-was-blonde bombshell, who got the best skin scenes. Reportedly Mira had to get drunk before taking off her dress and flashing her mams.
