Born and raised in Manhattan, sweet-faced, supple-skinned Kyra Sedgwick made her show biz debut at the age of sixteen with a recurring role on the Gotham-based soap opera Another World. Not long after that she made her move into motion pictures, landing substantial roles in the sadly skin-free War and Love (1985), Kansas (1988), and Born on the Fourth of July (1989). Kyra's adorable girl-next-door persona was put aside for a series of sizzling sex scenes with her real-life husband Kevin Bacon in the silly but staggeringly sex-filled comedy Pyrates (1991), but it took staggering thirteen years beyond that for Kyra to bust out her buried treasures. 2004 saw a double dose of Kyra cans with Cavedweller and The Woodsman, while audiences got more wood, man, when she went for a third baring with Loverboy (2005).
