Handsome headliner of the long-running Tatort series of German TV movies, Ulrike Folkerts has had plenty of chances to deliver the skin over the course of her career. (The Germans, god bless ‘em, have no problem showing nakedness in their TV programming.) This veteran of thirty-three (and counting!) Tatort entries has been playing the part of Kriminalhauptkommissarin Lena Odenthal since the late 1980s. And although our German’s a bit rusty these days, “Kriminalhauptkommissarin” sure sounds like a Germanic way of saying “sexually repressed warden of a women’s prison.” The frag-worthy Ms. Folkerts has spent nearly all of her career on the small screen, popping up only occasionally in features such as Der Leihmann (1994) and Over My Dead Body (1995). (What a waste that would be!)
