She didn't get a farewell speech, but December 12, 1999, marked a sad day in baseball as Morganna the Kissing Bandit retired from her career on the field. Fully known as "Morganna Cottrell," the buxom blonde became a legend for dashing out during games to kiss athletes, a pastime that began when she took a bet to kiss Pete Rose during a 1971 Cincinnati Reds game. Morganna came from a skinematic background, though, and you can field her home-run hooters in the classic bawdy sex comedies Indian Raid, Indian Made (1969) and Riverboat Mama (1969). The former Playboy model and exotic dancer went out as a beloved figure, too, with gullible journalists happy to cite her age as forty-seven and willing to repeat her boast of a natural sixty-inch bust. True fans will note that Morganna began her burlesque career as a perfect 36-24-36.
