Despite the flowery alien resonance of her name, it’s easy to tell that toothy brunette Zooey Deschanel is an American of foreign descent and not an actual denizen of the Parisian demimonde. If she were a real European, we would be celebrating Zooey’s many scenes of uninhibited, fully revealing nudity. As we are in fact celebrating a few filmed moments of jaw-grindingly sexy Deschanel in suggestive-but-covering attire, it’s safe to say the divine Ms. Z was brought up in the land of Wonder Bread and KFC. The all-American values of teasing to be pleasing are celebrated in the open shirt and flesh-colored bra of All the Real Girls (2003) and the paper-thin tank top of Winter Passing (2005). Thankfully, Deschanel must have taken a trip to Europe and come back ready to party with the real goods, because she unwrapped those Zooey boobies in Gigantic (2009). Seeing her Deschanude was worth the wait!
