Although Penny Irving's time in the proverbial limelight is long since passed, she continues to live her one-time celebrity through the constant rerunning of the once hit Britcom ~Are You Being Served?~ in which she portrayed the indomitable ~Miss Bakewell~ from 1976 to 1979. She started out with some humble beginnings, though, trying to break into the acting world with uncredited parts in non-descript British productions like ~Big Zapper~, ~Vampira~, and ~Percy’s Progress~. Check out 1974’s ~House of Whipcord~. This wasn’t exactly a leading role, but her lithe, completely nude body was featured for a good deal of time, albeit in a dimly lit setting. It’s well worth the look, though.
