A UCLA graduate with degrees in psychology and philosophy, October Kingsley burst onto the independent cinema scene in 2009 with The Seduction of Dr. Fugazzi (2009), a twisted, torrid tale somewhere between a kinky erotic thriller and a surreal arthouse movie. October directed, wrote, and starred in the film, which had her playing a psychiatrist whose increasingly frequent hallucinations start to disrupt her perfect life. Somehow October managed to cast acting legend Faye Dunaway in this low-budget production, proving her to be a hot commodity in young Hollywood.
