There was a lot of talent strolling around in the background of those party scenes in the American Pie series. Nora Zehetner is yet another actress who got her first big break as an anonymous gal in American Pie 2 (2001)--following her 2000 appearance as an anonymous gal on an episode of Gilmore Girls. Despite a nice turn in the kinky horror indie May (2002), Nora then went unnoticed in a frustrating series of underseen films. (Her Fox series Septuplets was canceled before it even aired.) Fortunately The WB’s drama Everwood finally gave Nora the chance to give every American guy some wood. That recurring role led to a star-making role in the acclaimed indie flick Brick (2005). The bizarre film noir set in a modern high school made perfect use of her dark and languid beauty. Nora’s nudity got our ’nads needy for more, and Hollywood wised up enough to cast her as the younger version of Helena Bonham Carter in the divorce drama Conversations with Other Women (2005).
