As a true Hollywood legend, Maureen O'Sullivan appeared in classics such as Pride and Prejudice (1940), The Big Clock (1948), and even Bonzo Goes to College (1952). She even managed an impressive comeback with Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) before her death in 1998. But this Irish lassie lassoed herself some skinematic greatness with her role as the proverbial "Jane" in the popular Tarzan series. Maureen was sexy in Tarzan the Ape Man (1932), but Tarzan and His Mate (1934) featured amazing early nudity, including a backlit disrobing scene and some breast-baring skinny dipping. Tarzan dressed Jane pretty skimpily too--which was all about to change with the industry's prudish implementation of the Hays Production Code.
