Maribel hails from Mexico, although she was born and raised in Costa Rica. She has, however, found her fame and fortune in her new homeland, setting out on the fast track to stardom in 1979 with a part in ~Como Mexico no hay dos~. Of course, she has attained stardom in large part due to her often skimpy costumes and infrequent revelations of her ass-ets. Although she first showed a modicum of Skin in the 1983 film ~Pedro Navaja~, and has since been seen in several states of undress in ~Las Traigo muertas~, ~Macho que ladra no muerde~, and ~La Pura~, her best and most revealing Skin Scenes appeared in the 1985 thriller ~Terror y encajes negros~, which is outlined on IMDb.com as a movie about “A woman [being] terrorized by a maniac in her own apartment building while wearing only black lingerie.” It’s an apt description, although it leaves out the part about the topless shower and sunbathing scenes…
