Maïwenn? Mais, oui! Delicate, finger-lickin’-good French pastry Maïwenn Le Besco began acting at the tender age of five, after her mother, actress Catherine Belkhodja, pushed her to become a child star. This unhappy experience later inspired Maïwenn to write and direct I’m an actrice (2004), a film based upon her childhood in front of the cameras. Lucky for us, Maïwenn grew up--and out--and returned to films, though unlike her oft-undressed younger sister, Isild Le Besco, has remained notoriously skingy. Her most notable role to date has been that of Diva Plavalaguna in The Fifth Element (1998), where she appeared as an azure-hued singing alien and stole the scene, although sadly, nary a flash of blue skin was to be seen. That all changed, however, with the 2003 slasher flick High Tension, in which this fetching fille finally busted out her pommes de terres. Maïwenn is sometimes credited under her nickname, Ouin-Ouin, and it will certainly be a win-win situation for audiences if she continues to appear en deshabille onscreen.
