The main reason that more skinthusiasts aren't setting up Web sites devoted to Lynn Whitfield is that she hit the entertainment scene at least ten years too late. If black, stacked, and delicious Lynn had brought her hard-black-lady-with-a-soft-chocolate-center attitude around in the early 1970s, she might be mentioned in the same panting breath as Pam Grier is today. Too bad for skin history, and for Lynn too, that her hydraulic front and rear bumpers didn't pull up for attention until 1981. What she, and we, got were spots on Hill Street Blues instead of mass exposure in something like Foxier Brown than You All Will Ever Be. But all is not lost.
