Theater geek turned sci-fi seductress Lisa Ryder got her start acting in small-time productions with a theater group she helped form in wintry Toronto. Bit parts on TV shows such as Kung Fu: The Legend Continues (1993) and Earth: Final Conflict (1997) followed. Her cult following started to blossom when she landed the role of lady cop Tracey Vetter on the short-lived series Forever Knight. The lithe, cat-eyed blonde hit her stride playing the kick-ass space bitch Beka Valentine on Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda alongside former Hercules stud Kevin Sorbo. She's now a way-sexy fixture of the syndicated sci-fi set, a role we hope she expands to less, shall we say, restrictive pastures.
