Honey-dipped cup of juicy Java goodness Laura Gemser is best remembered as being the Eurasian reincarnation of the Emmanuelle character made popular by fellow flesh-flick star Sylvia Kristel. Gemser made many erotic cinema odysseys as Black Emanuelle throughout the '70s and '80s in official and unofficial sequels such as Emanuelle 2 (1975), Emanuelle in Bangkok (1976), and Emanuelle Goes Japanese (1976). Laura retreated to Italy in the '90s with her (then-lucky, now-deceased) husband Gabriele Tinti, with whom she acted in Violence in a Women's Prison (1982). You may know the film under the title Emanuelle in Hell, which is just one of its seven alternate titles! After a brief stint as a costume designer--ironic, since Laura is breast known for her lack of costume--this legendary, Skindonesian goddess of sinema retired from the screen permanently.
