Do you know the way to San Jose? If not, ask Kate Walsh, the statuesque redhead was born in that famous California hamlet. She grew up there and then in Tucson, Arizona, where she attended the University of Arizona and began to tour with regional theater groups. While Broadway beckoned and her stage career took off, the siren call of TV was hard to resist and Kate made her major TV debut on The Drew Carey Show, though it may be difficult to recognize her as she was wearing a fat suit.
