Every picture tells a story. The picture of actress Ajita Wilson tells a whopper. Ajita was born a man for starters, middles, and finishes. A transvestite performer in New York, she had a sex-change operation in the mid-’70s and started working in adult films. She also was featured in a mess of exploitation shockers, starting with The Nude Princess (1976) and ending with Hell Penitentiary (1985). Speaking of endings, Ajita died of cerebral hemorrhage after an automobile accident in Rome, Italy, in 1987. Wonder what the coroner’s report said.
